DHEA

DHEA, or dehydroepiandrosterone, is a naturally produced steroid hormone that serves as a precursor for other hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. DHEA levels peak in early adulthood and decline with age. 

Beyond its role in creating other hormones, DHEA has potential effects on metabolism, immune function, mood, and cognition.
