A Chlamydia/Neisseria gonorrhoeae RNA test, also known as a Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT), is a highly sensitive and specific diagnostic test used to detect infections from both bacteria to indicate infection.

A negative result indicates that the organism's nucleic acid was not detected, but it does not completely exclude the possibility of infection, especially if symptoms are present. In such cases, a doctor may recommend further testing.
