CA 27.29

The CA 27-29 test measures the level of a protein called cancer antigen 27-29 in the blood. This protein is found in higher amounts in people with certain types of cancer, particularly breast cancer.

It is used to monitor the disease's activity, see if it's responding to treatment, or check if it has spread or returned. A normal result is typically less than or equal to 38 U/ml but levels can be affected by other conditions like liver and ovarian issues, or benign cysts.
